8 Weeks

Today is the 8 week mark and I am starting to look and really feel pregnant! We are still in awe of how awesome it is to be a part of this miracle. Each day brings more anticipation for meeting our little one. We have waited for this for a very long time. I have been blessed to make it to the end of school without too much sickness. Sleeping has become my new favorite hobby, however. I find myself dozing off and waking up an hour later, all before dinner! lol We will be going back for another doctor's visit in two weeks. Thank you for all of the support and prayers!

Proud New Daddy

I told Wint the day after I knew that I was pregnant. I gave him a little Georgia T-shirt. He was so excited!

Telling the Family

We told both families over Mother's Day weekend. Both sides are very excited and are looking forward to accompanying us on this journey.

For our parents we got gifts to share the news, which was easy because of Mother's Day and both of Wint's parent's birthdays falling at the same time. I made onesies for my mom to open that read "I love Grammy" and "I love Pa". We got Little Critter books, "My Grandma and Me", "My Grandpa and Me", and "My Grandma and Grandpa and Me", and a miniature golf set for Wint's parents. They were very surprised to say the least!

For Wint's Nanny (grandma) we got a Braves onesie. She is a very big Braves fan. This will be her first great grandchild.

Here are some pictures of the action!

I got a little carried away with the iron-ons and made two more onesies just because!

Welcome

Welcome everyone to our blog. We created it to keep our family and friends that we do not get to see, as often as we would like, updated on our growing family.

First, after almost a year and a half, we finally have our own little peanut on the way. That year and a half was not easy, but now we truly know that God's plan is always best and His timing is much better than we could ever plan out ourselves. It is just one more step down the journey He is taking us on. We have learned that the road is not always straight, flat, and easy. It is more often curvy and bumpy and sometimes even leads you in circles, but that is what keeps it interesting, as straight and flat is often boring.

In the coming year we hope to have Wint start a new job as a special education teacher, as he completes his masters in special education, find a house, and welcome our little one into the world around New Year's. Our due date is December 31st, 2009.

We just had our 6 week appointment last Thursday. All of the test results we received so far are right where they should be. The part I was most worried about, the drawing blood, really wasn't very bad. The nurse was wonderful and really took my mind off of it by talking to me. We will be going back once a month for a while. This weekend we will be telling our families and celebrating my first Mother's Day!

We want to include you on the next part of our life journey. Please come back and check our blog as often as you wish. We love and miss you all and hope to see you soon!
